About Us

Silke Dannemann, ECMm, BPMp

With over 15 years experience as a business owner and information specialist, I became certified by AIIM as an Enterprise Content Management Master (ECMm) in 2010 after becoming a ECM Specialist (ECMs) and ECM Practitioner (ECMp) in 2009. I made this decision to address the increasing demand by my clients to help manage the information and content that is in their system and that is coming at them at an ever-increasing rate. They wanted control; they wanted optimization.

To complement my ECM Specialist knowledge, I have now also become certified as a Business Process Management Practitioner (BPMp) in 2010. Specifically, the knowledge I have acquired include the practice of BPM, the role of ECM in BPM, business analysis, process improvement, flowcharting , process modeling, BPM approaches, BPM technologies, and Collaboration.

Acquiring the certifications has been intensive and challenging, but deeply gratifying work. I will continue to enhance and expand my education into knowledge management.

For over 12 years, I have been an executive and a publication and document specialist, understanding the business environment, the technology requirements and the life cycle of content. As an ECM Specialist I address clients' unique business needs and technology requirements and cover all points needed to make an ECM solution a success, including metadata, information governance, roadmaps and project implementation, and the business case for ECM.

I have been a member of AIIM for over 10 years, Women in Technology, ASPRS-The Imaging & Geospatial Information Society, Air & Waste Management Association, TMS, and the Urban Land Institute. I am fluent in English and German. Additionally, I am both a citizen of the United States and a citizen of Germany.

Our Focus is on Enterprise Content Management Strategies, Technologies and Methodologies

Our focus is on content management consulting for the enterprise. My associates and I will consult on everything ECM - strategic business consulting, strategic program blueprint development, information and content assessments, information governance consulting, roadmap & foundation activities development, implementation consulting, documentation & training consulting, change management for the new enterprise content management environment.

Because our focus is strictly on the ECM environment within your business, we apply best practices, assessments, documentation and development customized to your specific business needs.

Our History

For over 15 years my business partners and I have worked as information specialists for universities, corporations, government agencies, research institutes, information resource centers and libraries. Our clients are American, Canadian and European. We saw and heard first-hand how information and knowledge managers now had to manage their enterprise's ever-growing amount of content along with an ever-increasing influx of new information and content. Information is all over the enterprise: in hardware, on servers, in archives and in local files. There are real content management solutions out there, but they have to be set up properly. Each enterprise has its own functions, requirements, culture and technology. Additionally, each industry also has its specific needs. There is no straight-forward solution. The only solution is one that is specifically set up for your specific organization.

Over these many years, we have had very loyal customers, who have included some prestigious and well-known organizations. In the engineering sciences, our customers have included NASA, Motorola, and the German National Library in Research and Science (Technische Informationsbibliothek), the largest scientific and technical library in all of Europe. In the life sciences, our customers have included Abbott Laboratories, Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc., Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, WIL Research, among many others.

Enter my certification as Enterprise Content Management Master (ECMM). Through my 15 year membership with AIIM, the Association for Image and Information Management, I saw right away how leading information and content institutes and businesses were coming together to help enterprises achieve a successful content management environment. They brought their experiences and best practices together to develop the Enterprise Content Management program. First, I achieved the ECM Practitioner (ECMp) level, followed by the ECM Specialist level and culminating in the level of ECM Master (ECMm). Additionally, it was important I earn the certification in business process management (BPM) to complement ECM. On top of that, I was able to learn from their newest ECM program that was just updated this past spring 2009, bringing the latest and newest tools, strategies and methodologies.
